Syed Khurram Iqbal has had the privilege of serving and representing the Pakistani community in Hawke’s Bay for over seven years. With a professional background spanning two decades in leadership roles, he has made significant contributions through governance and public service across a range of sectors. Khurram currently lends his expertise to the Ministry of Justice, the Department of Internal Affairs, the Ministry for the Environment, and various local government initiatives—demonstrating a strong commitment to community development and excellence in public service.
His dedication has been formally recognised with prestigious honours, including the Community Service Award 2020 from the Khadija Leadership Network and the Kiwibank Local Hero Medal 2024 for Hawke’s Bay. These accolades reflect not only his individual achievements but also his deep passion for uplifting and uniting his community.
