United Front is proud to contest in the upcoming Pakistan Association of New Zealand (PANZ) Elections 2025, representing your voice with a mission to strengthen community ties and professional opportunities. We are A Non-Political, Non-Religious, and Non-Profit Community Platform with clear objectives.
Promote unity among all Pakistani New Zealanders, regardless of background, region, or ideology. United Front seeks to foster a stronger, more cohesive identity that contributes positively to the multicultural fabric of New Zealand society.
Celebrate and safeguard our cultural heritage by organizing inclusive cultural programs, language initiatives, and traditional observances. Key projects include the continuation and expansion of the Free Online Urdu School and intergenerational heritage activities.
Support Pakistani-owned businesses by creating networking opportunities, business forums, and advocating for fair access to economic resources. Our aim is to uplift entrepreneurship and strengthen the economic footprint of our community in New Zealand.
Advocate for equitable pathways in employment and professional accreditation for overseas-trained professionals — including doctors, engineers, teachers, and skilled workers — ensuring they are fully recognised and supported in their transition into New Zealand society.
Promote active participation by youth and women through mentoring, advisory panels, and leadership programs. United Front encourages inclusive leadership that reflects the diversity of our community and invests in the next generation.
Engage with key institutions such as NZ Police, Ministry for Ethnic Communities, Immigration NZ, and others to represent community concerns and secure support for initiatives that uplift our members and contribute to broader societal well-being.
Support existing and future development of community spaces that provide services and safe environments for youth, families, and seniors — including initiatives like the Masjid-e-Syeda Zahra community facility.
Develop long-term strategies focused on education, welfare, civic engagement, and identity-building, to ensure future generations inherit a strong, connected, and empowered Pakistani New Zealander community.
Create a dedicated employment platform for the Pakistani community—connecting jobseekers with employers, supporting youth, and helping newcomers find opportunities with ease and dignity.
Establish inspiring, action-focused youth gatherings twice annually—cultivating leadership, identity, and civic engagement among our young community members.
Honour and care for our elders through regular social events and wellness activities—ensuring they remain respected, healthy, and actively involved in the community.
Strengthen our voice in national policy through formal engagement with government departments, and continue strong advocacy for:
Immigration fairness, including parent visas, culturally arranged marriages, and permanent residency stability
Sentencing Act reforms, especially for minor, first-time, or context-specific offences
Review of domestic violence charges, promoting fairer legal processes grounded in full context and cultural understanding
This will be done through transparent MoUs and structured collaboration with public agencies.
Develop a national volunteer movement that unites youth, professionals, and families—serving in welfare, education, and community development—so we grow not just individually, but collectively.
Support the continued growth of our established Urdu School system—enhancing curriculum, teacher training, and outreach, so our future generations remain connected to their language, identity, and roots.
Develop a culturally sensitive mental health and wellbeing program, in partnership with South Asian mental health professionals. This may include access to a helpline, workshops in Urdu and English, and family wellness support—particularly for seniors, youth, and struggling households.
Establish a mobile outreach initiative that visits smaller towns and cities across New Zealand—bringing PANZ services, updates, and connection to Pakistani families who feel isolated or disconnected. Every voice matters, no matter where they live.
Establish an annual community service award to honour individuals and families who make outstanding contributions to the Pakistani community in New Zealand. A fully independent selection board will ensure the process remains transparent, unbiased, and based purely on merit.
Create and maintain a digital business directory featuring Pakistani-owned businesses across New Zealand—supporting local entrepreneurship, encouraging networking, and promoting economic growth within the community.
The United Front was formed not to promise change—but to continue it.
We are committed to safeguarding the cultural identity of Pakistani New Zealanders through community events, language preservation, and cultural education, while promoting mutual respect within New Zealand’s multicultural society.
We foster lifelong learning in our community — beyond formal education, we value cultural knowledge, professional recognition, and practical skills. From teaching Urdu to children online to advocating fair immigration pathways for overseas-qualified professionals, we believe in learning that uplifts, empowers, and opens doors
United Front is grounded in service. From crisis response to daily advocacy, we stand ready to support families, seniors, students, and individuals facing social, legal, or economic challenges.
We strive to be a strong voice for the Pakistani community at all levels local, regional, and national. We actively engage with government agencies and civic bodies to ensure our rights, concerns, and contributions are recognised.
Our panel is committed to building leadership opportunities and safe, inclusive spaces for women and youth, empowering them to shape the future of our community.
We uphold the values of integrity, fairness, and clear communication. Every decision we make will be grounded in community consultation and guided by the trust placed in us.
The Pakistani community is growing not only in terms of numbers, but also in its diversity, including young professionals with disciplines in all academic and professional fields. It is imperative that we act urgently in the interests of the larger community to identify, and prioritise important issues and to work collaboratively for viable solutions in accordance with New Zealand’s socio-political values.
