We proudly present the United Front 2025 Panel for the upcoming elections of the Pakistan Association of New Zealand (PANZ) a dedicated and community-focused team committed to unity, representation, and progress for the Pakistani community across Aotearoa.

What Are Our Objectives

United Front is proud to contest in the upcoming Pakistan Association of New Zealand (PANZ) Elections 2025, representing your voice with a mission to strengthen community ties and professional opportunities. We are A Non-Political, Non-Religious, and Non-Profit Community Platform with clear objectives.

To Unite the Community under a Shared Vision

Promote unity among all Pakistani New Zealanders, regardless of background, region, or ideology. United Front seeks to foster a stronger, more cohesive identity that contributes positively to the multicultural fabric of New Zealand society.

Preserve and Promote Pakistani Culture and Language

Celebrate and safeguard our cultural heritage by organizing inclusive cultural programs, language initiatives, and traditional observances. Key projects include the continuation and expansion of the Free Online Urdu School and intergenerational heritage activities.

Empower the Pakistani Business Community

Support Pakistani-owned businesses by creating networking opportunities, business forums, and advocating for fair access to economic resources. Our aim is to uplift entrepreneurship and strengthen the economic footprint of our community in New Zealand.

Support Migrant Integration and Professional Recognition

Advocate for equitable pathways in employment and professional accreditation for overseas-trained professionals — including doctors, engineers, teachers, and skilled workers — ensuring they are fully recognised and supported in their transition into New Zealand society.

Empower Youth and Women in Leadership and Service

Promote active participation by youth and women through mentoring, advisory panels, and leadership programs. United Front encourages inclusive leadership that reflects the diversity of our community and invests in the next generation.

Advocate for Community Interests at Governmental and Institutional Levels

Engage with key institutions such as NZ Police, Ministry for Ethnic Communities, Immigration NZ, and others to represent community concerns and secure support for initiatives that uplift our members and contribute to broader societal well-being.

Enhance Community Infrastructure

Support existing and future development of community spaces that provide services and safe environments for youth, families, and seniors — including initiatives like the Masjid-e-Syeda Zahra community facility.

Establish a Legacy of Sustainable Community Development

Develop long-term strategies focused on education, welfare, civic engagement, and identity-building, to ensure future generations inherit a strong, connected, and empowered Pakistani New Zealander community.

Our Goals – United Front

1. Launch Pakistan–NZ Job Portal

Create a dedicated employment platform for the Pakistani community—connecting jobseekers with employers, supporting youth, and helping newcomers find opportunities with ease and dignity.

2. Hold Youth Conferences Twice a Year

Establish inspiring, action-focused youth gatherings twice annually—cultivating leadership, identity, and civic engagement among our young community members.

3. Organize Quarterly Senior Picnics & Wellness Events

Honour and care for our elders through regular social events and wellness activities—ensuring they remain respected, healthy, and actively involved in the community.

4. Advance Community Representation & Legal Advocacy

Strengthen our voice in national policy through formal engagement with government departments, and continue strong advocacy for:

Immigration fairness, including parent visas, culturally arranged marriages, and permanent residency stability

Sentencing Act reforms, especially for minor, first-time, or context-specific offences

Review of domestic violence charges, promoting fairer legal processes grounded in full context and cultural understanding

This will be done through transparent MoUs and structured collaboration with public agencies.

5. Launch “Stronger Together” Volunteer Network

Develop a national volunteer movement that unites youth, professionals, and families—serving in welfare, education, and community development—so we grow not just individually, but collectively.

6. Expand and Support Urdu Language Schools

Support the continued growth of our established Urdu School system—enhancing curriculum, teacher training, and outreach, so our future generations remain connected to their language, identity, and roots.

7. Introduce a Mental Health & Wellbeing Support Initiative

Develop a culturally sensitive mental health and wellbeing program, in partnership with South Asian mental health professionals. This may include access to a helpline, workshops in Urdu and English, and family wellness support—particularly for seniors, youth, and struggling households.

8. Launch Mobile Community Outreach Program

Establish a mobile outreach initiative that visits smaller towns and cities across New Zealand—bringing PANZ services, updates, and connection to Pakistani families who feel isolated or disconnected. Every voice matters, no matter where they live.

9. Introduce the PANZ Community Service Award

Establish an annual community service award to honour individuals and families who make outstanding contributions to the Pakistani community in New Zealand. A fully independent selection board will ensure the process remains transparent, unbiased, and based purely on merit.

10. Develop a National Pakistani Business Directory

Create and maintain a digital business directory featuring Pakistani-owned businesses across New Zealand—supporting local entrepreneurship, encouraging networking, and promoting economic growth within the community.

Mission Statement – United Front

Pakistan Association New Zealand Elections

The United Front was formed not to promise change—but to continue it.

Our mission is to lead with courage, serve with sincerity, and represent our community with dignity. Having delivered trusted leadership from 2019 to 2022, our commitment is to uphold Pakistan Association New Zealand as a community-owned, community-driven institution—free from division, free from politics of personality.

We do not believe in ceremonial representation—we believe in responsible action.
We do not wait for crises to act—we lead from the front.

From the first hours of the Christchurch tragedy, to the hardship of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been present, responsive, and solution-focused. We initiated reforms, delivered support, built partnerships, and defended our community’s interests at every level.

Our mission today is:
•To protect the integrity of the Association through transparent governance and financial clarity.
•To ensure true representation across all regions, ages, and community segments—without favouritism.
•To uplift our people through youth development, senior engagement, and employment initiatives that serve real needs.
•To anchor our work in values, not personalities—ensuring stability, continuity, and purpose-driven progress.
•To build a future where every member of our community feels safe, seen, and served.

We are not here to rebrand—we are here to reinforce what has already been built with honesty and hard work.

We are the United Front—tested, trusted, and united for the future.
