Muhammad Aamir Nawaz is a seasoned procurement professional, currently working with one of New Zealand’s top four banks. With over two decades of experience across the FMCG, telecommunications, public, and banking sectors, he brings a wealth of knowledge and strategic insight to his work.
Beyond his professional achievements, Aamir has been a dedicated supporter of the Pakistani community in New Zealand. Since 2006, he has actively contributed to the Pakistan Association of New Zealand (PANZ), holding various key roles including Treasurer and Executive Board member. He has also served as a Director of the Pakistan Chamber of Business and Professionals and has volunteered his time with several charitable organizations. In his personal capacity, he has offered valuable guidance and support to newly arrived Pakistani professionals, helping them navigate employment opportunities and settle successfully in Aotearoa.
A proud Muslim and Pakistani, Aamir draws deep inspiration from Allama Iqbal’s words: “In Taza Khudaoon mein bara sab se watan hai, Jo Peerhan iska hai woh Mazhab ka Kafan hai.” Recognizing both the promise and the challenges facing youth today, he remains committed to upholding cultural values and religious beliefs while striving for positive change.
Currently nominated to represent the West Auckland community, Aamir stands not for position, but for purpose. He has expressed his unwavering support for emerging leaders and is fully prepared to step aside to empower others. His priority remains the unity and growth of the community.
He calls upon all members of the Pakistani community to come together under a united front, support the shared vision, and make their voices count in the upcoming PANZ elections.
