Candidate for Joint Secretary PANZ:

Experienced Anti-Money Laundering Officer and Credit & Collections Officer with a strong background in motor vehicle finance and auto insurance. Over the course of my career, I have been committed to maintaining compliance and promoting financial integrity within the automotive and insurance sectors. My drive for delivering practical solutions and fostering financial transparency has shaped my professional path.

Beyond my work in finance, I have always been deeply engaged in community service. I have contributed to various organizations, including the Fatimah Foundation, Khadijah Leadership Network, NZ EID Day, NZ Police Ethnic Community Engagement, and the Pakistan Association of New Zealand (PANZ). My involvement with PANZ, in particular, has been incredibly meaningful. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I supported the association by managing media correspondence with Apna Television and Radio. Additionally, as the Media Wing Coordinator, I played a key role in covering events across Aotearoa that were important to the Pakistani community.

With roots in Pakistan and having grown up in South Africa, I bring a unique cultural perspective to my work and community involvement. I am passionate about strengthening and uplifting the Pakistani community in New Zealand while nurturing a strong cultural identity.

Currently, I am running for the position of Joint Secretary in the upcoming PANZ elections scheduled for April 2025. My goal is to continue the efforts of PANZ, an organization that has been instrumental in supporting and empowering the Pakistani community in New Zealand. I intend to build on the progress made and use my leadership experience to unite and empower our community further.

With my diverse professional background, organizational experience, and commitment to community service, I am confident in my ability to bring a well-rounded, solutions-focused approach to both problem-solving and community growth. I am dedicated to collaborating with others to ensure that the Pakistani community in New Zealand continues to flourish, thrive, and leave a lasting impact.
